Aims

  • To give prominence to the role of governance and competitiveness in achieving the Oman 2020 Economic Vision and the role of Corporate governance in improving economic performance, growth and enhancing investors’ confidence

  • To diagnose the challenges that faces the future of the Omani Economy Vision - Oman 2020 - after 10 years of its initiation.

  • To discuss the pros and cons of the Sultanate joining the International Trade Agreements and the new opportunities that will arises.

  • To give prominence to the legal, institutional and organisational framework of corporate governance and the relation between governance and corporate ethics, and the extent of corporate knowledge of its social and environmental responsibilities.

  • To benefit from experiences of other countries and international organizations in improving economic performances
