The Association Award
for Economic Research
The
Association Board decided to offer annual awards for economic
researches, which are to be delivered during the convening of
the Association’s annual conference.
The award objectives:
- Reinforcing
and encouraging economic research to support the process of
development in Oman.
- Urging Omani and expatriate researchers to conduct academic
researches of interest to the country.
- Establishing a research base in order to assist decision
makers and to reinforce the role of the Association as an
effective partner in the comprehensive development of the
country.
The Research Area
The focus should be on new applied economic researches and to
present proposal for future development in Oman.
Research topics
Human resource development, education and training, small
entrepreneurs, finance and banking, commerce and industry,
transportation and shipping, tourism, communication and
information technology, health services, combat of poverty,
social cooperation, assessing various government programmes,
investment environment in Oman, systems and mechanism of various
government Sectors functioning, methods and means of income
diversification.
Eligible categories: The award is opened to Omanis and
researchers from other nationalities.
Awards: Three proposed awards are to be given from each
of the following categories:
General category: 1000 – 2000 – 3000 OR
Student category: 200 – 300 –500 OR
